Basenote Bitch

Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka

This fragrance is for every burgeoning teen in the 90s who developed more than a casual interest in Wicca. Double, Double, Toil & Trouble, bitch! I say this because although olita Lempicka is often compared as the younger gourmand sister to classics like Mugler’s Angel, her softened edges and magical earthy notes truly make her the unique whimsigothic icon we know and love.

One of the more memorable notes blended airily with others like anise, and iris, is a distinct dose of liquorice. One of the first things an enchantress does to attract love is carry a piece of liquorice root in their pocket. You see what I’m saying—this scent is occult only. Cue to me reciting horny incantations directly from my incredibly high tech Dear Diary. After my spells are out in the universe, I mist myself generously with the contents of my forbidden lavender apple and head out the door. I have some reading to do in the Pagan section of my local Borders.

Notes include star anise, violet and ivy; middle notes are licorice, cherry, iris, orris root and amaryllis; base notes are vanilla, praline, tonka bean, white musk and vetiver. In real life you will smell like Willow Rosenberg pre-scary, veiny Willow.
