Basenote Bitch
Princess by Vera Wang

Princess by Vera Wang

This may be for the girl who grew up Cinderella-obsessed, has a french manicure as a 12-year-old, and could be one of the protagonists of 27 Dresses. Vera Wang’s Princess has all the makings of a classic girly tween fragrance, i.e. pink fruits sweetened with vanilla and encrusted in sugar. It is quite literally for the age bracket of someone who still identifies with all things “princess,” and is a Beanie Baby trading card carrier. Her room is soft and plush with Pottery Barn Teen decor, but she’s not quite ready for the reality of future fuckboys. The Prince Charming narrative will do for now. Rest up—soon you’ll be disappointed by a DJ and his floor mattress. It’s all part of the journey.

Top notes include water lily, apricot, apple and mandarin orange; middle notes are dark chocolate, guava, tiare flower and tuberose; base notes are vanilla, amber and woodsy notes. In real life you will definitely smell like Charlottes everywhere.
